I would have thought the smart play would have been to retire before getting eviscerated on the Sunday morning talk shows, but Helen Thomas would have gotten rightfully barbecued anyway.

Of course, with the Obama Administration's indifference toward Isreal, they may let her keep her seat anyway.

Had she said the blacks should go back to Africa, would the retirement have happened faster? No, then the MSM would have just called her a tea partier. Hell, they might anyway.

Get cranky in their old age,and their true colors come out.And most liberals prove this when they get higher up in the admin and think they are untouchable.Rahm Emmanuel,Harry Reid,now Thomas.They want folks to believe they are color-blind and oh,so accepting of all races,religions and lifestyles,and give an ear to all arguments. What would Dave Chappel say!?

Didn't say it was plagiarized (that is a screwed up word to spell!), but I've seen the same phrase pop up even more since seeing it on here and CNN.

I also don't think Thomas should have gotten a pass. I honestly don't think she should have been allowed to resign, either. I would have publicly shown her the door.

I read a bit of what Fliescher said in a Heritage Foundation piece, but also what loyal Clintonista Lanny Davis said.

By mentioning "Heritage Foundation", does that give out the source of my RW talking points?

If someone other than a Liberal icon had said what Thomas said, they would have been sacked within hours.
