Nevada? Delaware? Louisiana? Illinois? Who's got next?

So how much can be made of Scott Brown's stunning win of Ted Kennedy's...er, The People's Seat?

Harry Reid is on the ropes in Nevada. Joe Biden's old seat in Delaware is looking like a toss-up and even the seat that once belonged to President Obama is now in play.

A Rasmussen poll taken in December had the front-runners Republican Mark Kirk and Democrat Alexi Gianoullias virtually tied for the U.S. Senate seat currently being warmed by Roland Burris. Real Clear Politics also has it too-close-to-call.

Of course, these men have to win their primaries coming up in just a few days and there is nothing to say those are locks...especially after what happened last night.

Alexi might want to keep the hoops with the president on the downlow until after November.

I know a lot of people who are still steamed with Kirk over his cap-and-trade vote in the House. Of course, he's backtracking big-time on that now.

But if it happened in the Bay State, it can happen in the Land of Lincoln.

Whoever comes in and promises the most road pork regardless of schools, jobs or anything else gets their endorsement.

We've got all kinds of new highways around here. Where are the jobs? How are the schools doing?

Somebody's been selling you a bill of goods for a long time.

Who the Herald Whig will endorse. With all that is going on in the world of politics and the way the voters are being ignored, you would think the H/W would be taking some of our elected officials to task. When was the last time the H/W called out Durbin or Hare on anything?
No wonder newspapers are becoming irrelevant. Some where along the way, they lost their spine.

I gotcha, Salukis...I was more commenting on knowing how long elected officials serve...

2 years for Rep
4 years for President
6 years for Senator

(for those who are far away from HS Gov't class)

Just to be clear, I'm no Durbin supporter. I'm trying to figure out how one could support a clown like him.

Are there better options? Who else is running in the primaries?

Now now, Salukis! This is neither the time nor place for statements of fact regarding politics!

If I'm not mistaken, I think Durbin was re-elected in 2008 making him up for re-election in 2014.

You will have to put up with Turbin, excuse me Mr. Durbin until 2012!
Yet, Mr. hare will be gone 2010 with the election of Bobby Schilling for Congress!!
In agreement with Cap and Tax-Mark Kirk must be gone and will follow Mr. Arrington on that one as well.

I can't vote for him in primary either. His vote on Cap & Trade sealed that. As a choice between he and
Gianoullias, it's a crap fest.
