From tennessean.com: "How's that hopey, changey stuff workin' out for ya?" Sarah Palin asked 1,000 or so supporters who paid $300 apiece to attend her speech at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

"Put your faith in ideas. I caution against allowing this movement to be defined by one leader or operation," Palin told the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville. The small government movement is "a ground-up call to action that's forcing both parties to change the way they're doing business. This is about the people."

Palin did what?? She only makes her self look foolish. So what if she can see Russia from her back porch. The only thing she is interested in doing is making money from the poor suckers that go to hear her. Why would she want to go on with politics as long as the cash cow continues to give?

I could research all day on the subject and the end result would be as I stated earlier. More lives have been lost due to religious beliefs than any other reason.

"Think what will happen when someone on the right with some serious teleprompter experience shows up to really take him on"

Would be a very interesting event to watch. Obama employs some very good writers.

"That war that has killed the most Americans was the Civil War -- no religion involved at all."

I do not recall limiting my statement to American lives.

Religious tones? WTF? Look back in WORLD history and you will see how religion was the basis for most, if not all pre-WW1 wars and some post-WW2 wars. I disagree with all forms of orginized religion. You are correct. IMO they prey on the weak minded and in turn the weak minded fork over their much needed money in the hopes of attaining everlasting life. Which no proof has yet to be found I might add.

Fed up -- exactly who is imposing their beliefs on you? Your sarcastic comments are not constructive and your denigration of other is uncalled for.

You apparently disagree with all religions -- that's your right. But to denigrate others for their beliefs is pure arrogance. That works both ways.

As for your statement about religion killing more people than war -- I've heard that as some sort of defense for offending religious people...but I've never seen one iota of proof that it's true.

That war that has killed the most Americans was the Civil War -- no religion involved at all.

If you'd care to review the history of wars -- you'll find few with religious tones (and Hilter killing Jews doesn't count -- that wasn't religious -- it was racist).

Can an unknown governor from Alaska make the commie pinko press go crazy and make a sitting President look even more foolish. Think what will happen when someone on the right with some serious teleprompter experience shows up to really take him on

Does not mean you can impose your beliefs on me just because you belive there is some higher power. What gives anyone the right to say how I should belive? Sarah Palin is just playing to the media. She needs to be home taking care of her special needs child and raising her other kids so they don't end up pregnant and unwed. Oh wait!! that already happened. Hmmm, how's that parenting thingey workin out Sarah?

More wars have been fought and more lives lost due to religion than any other cause in the world. So i ask you religious folks? How's that divine intervention thingy workin out?

Did she digress so far back that she is now 12? hey Sarah, grow up!!!

"Check out an Obama capmaign flyer talking about him being a "Committed Christian" -- to which Fed up SHOULD respond "yeh...he ought to be committed"...but again, I'm sure this is all fine with him..."

I disagree with that aspect of him. Just because i am for most of his ideas etc., doe snot mean he is perfect in my eyes.

"Oh yeh...then there's that nasty "religious freedom" thing in that Constitution thing that many seem to ignore..."

Relevance to my comments? I'm all for religious freedom. Just keep it away from me and do not preach how you think I should conduct myself based on your belief system. While you religious folks are standing in a grass covered field looking to the sky for divine intervention, I will be here taking charge of my destiny.

She also charged $100,000 for her speaking fee. Supposedly she is giving it back the the Tea Party. Then why charge unless she is using it for tax purposes. Also I read the fee to attend the convention was $550.00 or so.

This convention was listed as a for profit convention. So much for Joe Plumber
