Quincy Public Library Leo\'s Little Ones: Books for Babies

Start Time: 10:00 AM End Time: 10:30 AM Introduce your baby to the wonderful world of reading at Leo’s Little Ones: Books for Babies, a fresh new series designed just for parents and their infants, ages 6 months to 18 months! Named after the Library’s newest card-holder, Leo the Library Lion, Leo’s Little Ones incorporates books that are colorful yet simple, activities, rhymes and songs that encourage movement and parent-child interaction, and props which stimulate the senses. Each new parent will receive a \"Baby and Me\" bag filled with tips for reading with your baby, booklists of recommended titles for your baby, and \"Leo\'s Little Ones\" weekly program guides so you can follow along with your child during the sessions. Babies will receive an adorable plush Leo the Lion Cub and a Welcome Certificate signed by Leo himself! More importantly, Leo’s Little Ones will give you and your baby a chance to grow, learn, and play with other families in a relaxing setting designed with your newest addition in mind. JWCC Constitution Day Activity

6:30 p.m. John Wood Community College hosting a panel discussion, \"State and Federal Rights - the Balance of Power\" to commemorate United States Constitution Day in the Mary Ellen Orr Auditorium on the JWCC campus at 48th & Harrison in Quincy. Cook’s Night off helps support the Meals on Wheels Program while allowing you to enjoy a delicious meal at a reasonable price. Every 3rd Thursday throughout 2010, Meals Plus for Seniors will offer eat-in, carry-out or drive through meals for $7.00 each. Those who choose to eat at the Senior Center will receive a complimentary beverage with their meal. All meals include either Fried Chicken or Roast Beef, two generous sides, bread and a sinful dessert. Tickets are available at the Senior Center or please, just join us for a scrumptious meal that will benefit others! Take the night off! Forever Plaid

Quincy Community Theatre will present \"Forever Plaid\" November 5-7 and 11-14. One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. Symphony of Trees

Please join Encore!, the Volunteer Council for The Quincy Symphony Orchestra Association, as we present the 10th Symphony of Trees! This family festival will offer something for everyone in the family! You can enjoy our stunning holiday trees/displays, decide to take one home through our silent auctions/raffles, have your children partake in our fun-filled crafts and activities, enjoy our fabulous food, or just relax and unwind with our wonderful entertainment. There is so much to see and do and we hope you spend the day! We will be holding several special events this year including The Gala Preview Party (Dec. 2 6pm), the Luncheon (Dec. 3 11am), Breakfast with Santa (Dec. 4 8:30am), Jazz Night (Dec. 4 6pm) and Family Day (Dec. 5 - 12pm).
