With his trusted companion, Doctor Watson, at his side, Sherlock Holmes pursues first the case, and then the affections of Miss Adler—and in doing so, marches right into the lair of his longtime adversary, that malevolent genius of crime: Professor Moriarty. In this spirited, fast-moving and thoroughly theatrical adaptation, Steven Dietz presents Holmes at the height of his powers—surrounded by all the elements that fans of his exploits have come to expect: danger, intrigue, wit, humor and surprise. \"The game is afoot, Watson—and it is a dangerous one!\" Tickets go on sale online at 1qct.org on September 4th and in the Box Office, located inside the Oakley-Lindsay Civic Center, on September 7th. Forever Plaid
Thursday, March 25, 2010 - Sunday, November 14, 2010Quincy Community Theatre will present \"Forever Plaid\" November 5-7 and 11-14. One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. Singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision, the \"Plaids\" are a guaranteed smash, with a program of beloved songs and delightful patter that keeps audiences rolling in the aisles when they\'re not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the \'50s, including “Three Coins in the Fountain,” “Catch a Falling Star,” “Heart and Soul,” “Day-O,” “Papa Loves Mambo,” “Magic Moments,” “Dream Along With Me,” and “Love is a Many Splendored Thing.” Tickets go on sale online at www.1qct.org on Saturday, October 23rd and in the Box Office, located inside the Oakley-Lindsay Civic Center, on Monday, October 25th. For tickets or more information, call QCT at 222-3209 or visit www.1qct.org.
