Blue Devils alone in first in WB6

Quincy High School and Rock Island Alleman were tied at 18 at halftime, but the Blue Devils poured it on in the second half to pick up a 57-39 win in Don Morris Gym.

Zach Forbes paced Quincy with 23 points. Alex Vonderhaar added 11 and Isaiah Johnson scored 10.

Quincy is now 7-1 and 3-0 in the Western Big Six. Galesburg knocked off East Moline, leaving the Blue Devils alone in first in the Western Big Six.

Rock Island also beat Moline 36-33 Friday night.

Quincy is off until the Collinsville Tournament, where the top-seeded Blue Devils open play on Monday, Dec. 28 against Granite City at 6:30 p.m.
