Hawks move up in national poll

The Quincy University men's basketball team, boosted by their win over #22 ranked Mesa State College last week, climbed up two spots in the NABC Poll and are now ranked #22 in the nation.

Quincy is currently 10-0 on the season, matching their program record for most wins to open a season, tying with the 1988-89 season. The Hawks picked up their 10th win on Sunday with a 76-66 win at home over then ranked #22 Mesa State in the Quincy University/Subway Holiday Tournament Championship game. Prior that the Hawks picked up an 89-60 victory over Truman State, winning both games last week.

The Hawks are one of four Great Lakes Valley Conference teams in the national poll. Southern Indiana is ranked #10 and is followed by #17 Kentucky Wesleyan, #20 Drury and #22 Quincy. The Hawks are in action again on December 30th at home when they face Robert Morris University-Springfield at 7:30 p.m.
