The Quincy Exchange Club will sponsor a Certified Barbeque Judges Class on July 24, 2010 at America’s Best Value Inn, 300 Gardner Expressway, Quincy, IL.
The class is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and graduates of the one day class will be certified to judge any KCBS certified BBQ contest.
The class will run from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24. Participants will be instructed in the history of the KCBS, the process of judging BBQ entries and will sample and judge all four categories of KCBS sanctioned events. Those categories are chicken, pork shoulder, pork ribs and beef brisket.
Cost of the class is $40.00 for KCBS members and $75.00 for non-members. The class fee for non-KCBS members includes a one year membership in the KCBS.
You have until July 10 to register.

The Kansas City Barbeque Society, founded in 1985, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of barbeque. It is the world’s largest organization of BBQ and grilling enthusiasts with over 13,000 members. The KCBS sanctions over 300 events each year.
One of those sanctioned events is the Quincy Exchange Club’s “Smoke On The River”, which will be held on September 10 and 11, 2010 in Kesler Park on the riverfront.
