“Living Today for Tomorrow” breast cancer support group meets

The Living Today For Tomorrow breast cancer support group will meet on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The meeting will be held on the lower level of the Blessing Cancer Center, Broadway at 11th Street in Quincy, IL.

Breast cancer survivors are invited to join us for a special presentation when Debra Lee, PhD, Master Gardener and Horticulture Coordinator, University of Illinois Extension Services, leads a hands-on presentation instructing us on container planting. Come learn how to immerse yourself in the healing aspects of gardening and take home your beautiful creation.

Anyone with breast cancer is encouraged to attend the Living Today For Tomorrow meetings, including those newly diagnosed, in remission, experiencing a recurrence, making a treatment decision, or feeling isolated and depressed.  The group is also open to all women who live with or care about breast cancer patients, including those concerned about a friend, their mother or sister, a colleague or neighbor.

The support group is a service of Blessing Cancer Center. Dinner will be served.

To reserve your container plant, please RSVP  by April 2 by calling Blessing Cancer Center at (217) 223-8400, ext. 7709.
