Romeo and Juliet, one of Shakespeare’s most thrilling and popular plays, confronts each new generation with its passion and force. This adaptation, Romeo/Juliet, has been edited from Shakespeare’s text for a cast of five and with a running time of 80-minutes. While utilizing the Shakespearean language, this version is straight-forward and easy to follow.
The cast includes Sierra Schnack as Prince, Nurse, Servant and Apothecary; Jacob Rokusek as Romeo and Paris; Mia Bergstrom as Juliet and Tybalt; Jay Stalder as Capulet, Friar, and Mercutio; and Kaitlyn VanderMaiden as Benvolio, Lady Capulet, and Montague.
Romeo/Juliet is under the direction of Brandon Thomsen, QCT’s Student Theatre/Education Director. Paul Denckla, QCT’s Technical Director, is the scenic and lighting designer, and Naomi Lester is serving as Stage Manager.
Romeo/Juliet is also a touring production (2010’s QCT on the Road production) that performed for several local high schools this past spring.
