I still can not believe you are going at this. Why don't you go on ahead and look up the definition of "party" is. And you bet this is common in today's politics. Campaigns cost a lot of money and you can not expect only the candidate to fund the campaign. If that were the case then we would only have the richest in office because the poor candidate would not have any money to do advertising on.
So if you go to this website: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/party and read the definition of a party then maybe you will realize that his in fact is a party. Yes this is a party to have a good time at but also a party to raise money at, and for a good person who would make a great treasurer. Now if you read the definition and still disagree then you are being completely oblivious to the facts, and there is nothing anyone can do to help your arrogance.

One more time.
This is not a party.
Not a party, merely a manner
of acquiring a lot of quick money
and should have been stated as such.
More like being invited
to a pyramid party....

However this crap is all to
common in politics today,
just spin the facts to
hide the truths, then
if you are discovered
crucify the messenger.

First off to me a party is simply a social gathering. And is this not a social gathering? what is the harm of having a fund raiser for this guy? He will make a great treasurer. And you and I both know that campaigns cost a lot of money and should not be funding by one or two people. If you support a candidate then you should be more than willing to donate what ever you can to their cause. The comments you always make are so bizarre. Leave it to you to make such 'out-there' comments on an event such as this one.

We take all types of events and place them in Vox.

If any other political candidate of any stripe wishes to put something here, we will gladly do so.

Where do I start.
Article said "come to a party", I merely pointed
out that it was misleading, that in actuality it
was not a party, but a sublime method of raising
funds; perhaps not a ideal beginning for such a
politician of Asher's fine reputation.

Next I referred to "using their own monies" instead of MINE.

As to me Asher being "excited" about his campaign,
I too would be excited if someone was giving me
a fortune for doing nothing.

Where did the nastiness begin?
1."BECOMING A HYPOCRITE" -- WEBSTER defines: a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess.
WOULDN'T you like to see someone with Mr. Ashers reputation in office and know that there ARE THOSE that can keep it that way?
2.TOUTING -- WEBSTER again: to describe or advertise boastfully; praise extravagantly.
Personally I saw nothing boasteful or extrvagant. A home atmospher and QNO simply quoted one of Mr. Ashers statements regarding the kick off and campagign.
3.YOUR content: why don't they use 'they' own money; which by the way was Obtained from us taxpayers.

There is no spin there and the Facts of the opponent are simply FACTS that many Quincy citizens had been observing and were actually thinking and was talk about town as to why he did not follow the current 'law' of the State.

I am simply amazed how some people
spin a simple comment into a hate speech.

Roberta, I don't really understand your logic.
Mr. Tenhouse has not been in the political realm for a few years and 'HIS money is HIS' and Mrs. Reddington EARNED her income by DOING HER JOB! A VERY GOOD job I might add~!~
Your 'take' is a wasted rhetoric in my personal opinion.
As my eyes read it HIS QUOTE, "Terry Asher is excited about having his fund raiser and the campaign ahead."
WHERE does HE quote saying 'a good time party'! Specifically in ''quotes'' are his.
The author of QNO wrote the article from my observation letting the readers know about this upcoming event.
From my take: I doubt you have ever run for anything.
Nothing is done for nothing today. It costs money to keep the church doors open. It costs money to keep the school doors open. It costs money to keep the hospital doors open. It costs money to keep anything in motion!
It even costs to go to dinner with friends let alone running a campaign.
Beyond that I sure do place my support for Mr. Asher and plan to attend.
You know, we all saw all those HUGE SIGNS put up by his opponent and they were put up before they were allowed being put up.
Didn't follow the 'CAMPAIGN RULINGS FOR 2010. Now they are all down.
That was by his opponent. Jumped the gun a bit and such ugly huge signs that COST A sizable dollar!!!
I do pose this question, Mr. Reg A. is that how you are going to 'pork and spend' our taxpayers money should you be in office of the TREASURER and are we going to see 'crafty' premature or inappropriate rules being broken by the office of TREASURE!!????
Many thought those signs are quite expensive and does not represent conservative spending nor did you totally research your actions!!!
See you at your fundraiser Mr. Asher!

He sounds like an all around nice person
Why does he want to ruin his reputation by
becoming a hypocrite politician ???
Example:
touting a fundraiser as a good time "party"..

Further more, if Tenhouse & Reddington are so
gunge hoe in Asher being elected, why don't
they use they own money; which by the way was
obtained from us taxpayers
